ESPN had their cameras on both of their pits....Marlin's on fire and Bodine with his crew pitting his car backwards, facing the fire. Total chaos 6. He listed all of the DNQ's which were: Ron Esau Ben Hess Larry Moyer Jay Sommers Lee Raymond David Simko Slick Johnson Mike Laws Ernie Irvan was *IN* the race, lol. ;-) He didn't mention Jimmy Horton. I would have figured they would have attempted that race? But they weren't mentioned in the DNQ's. Plus the numbers add up: 42 starters + 8 DNQ's mentioned above = The 50 cars that attempted to qualify according to Ned. Maybe Horton entered but didn't make an actual qualifying attempt, withdrew, wrecked in practice or something? 9. It's a shame Bobby's accident had already happened by this time. 11. myself posted: 01.26.2012 - 10:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (4) Donnie is a fat slob now-a-days. 12. While I didn't pull for Donnie Allison while he was still racing, you've gotta give the guy respect for being one of the Legends of our sport. And the last time I spoke with him (not that long ago), he was no slob. Just a fine Southern gentleman who is aging well. How's that working out for you??? 13. He is helping his sons with the Allison Legacy Series. 17. rateus posted: 04.26.2020 - 10:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) David Simko's #51 was sponsored by "Tom Co." Slick Johnson's #95 and Jimmy Horton's #80 (yes, it was there) were unsponsored.
