He was referring to a race at Michigan in 1982 that was red-flagged for 4 1/2 hours due to a tornado hitting the racetrack. By the way, this race ran caution-free. 7. We had a 2 car race til the very end with no cautions, and it woulda been a 3 way race to the very end had Elliott not had to make an extra stop for fuel. 13.
