David Pearson drove the #12 Budweiser Chevrolet. 2. myself posted: 05.15.2007 - 5:32 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Cale was now 3/3 on tracks 2.5 miles or longer in 84'! The Silver Fox was only running a partial schedule in 1984 and Pocono wasn't on it so he was glad to pitch in; putting the #12 Chevy on the pole for the only time all season in qualifying and earning his last Cup pole in the process. On race day Bonnett started the race, getting credit for the start and the points, and led the first two laps but pulled in and handed the car over to Pearson after an early caution few laps later. Pearson turned in a solid run driving the #12 and finished 14th. This has to be one of the rare times a car in a Cup race led laps with two different drivers at the wheel over the course of the same race. Bonnett led the opening laps and once he handed the #12 Monte Carlo over to Pearson he also led a lap with it later on. 9. Must have had a problem between qualifying and the race. 11. RaceFan98 posted: 10.20.2019 - 12:03 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Also, Maggiacomo was driving his usual #63 car. 12. The car was a #63 Linro Motorsports Oldsmobile, owner Jim Rosenblum, as was the case with his Daytona 500 DNQ. 13.
