Also taking turns at the point were Bill Elliott, Terry Labonte, Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, and David Pearson. How's THAT for a Who's Who of NASCAR?! 4. Mike Neff posted: 08.16.2005 - 8:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Quite possibly the greatest race ever. 75 lead changes at the line. Another 30-40 on other parts of the track. If I had to have one race to watch over and over, this would be it. 5. Clayton posted: 05.13.2008 - 11:07 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) So many excellent drivers in their prime, is what made this race great! I mean The top 9 had a combined 473 wins. This doenst even include, Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip, Kyle Petty, Sterling Marlin, Ricky Rudd, Neil Bonnett, Terry Labonte, Tim Richmond, David Pearson, Geoff Bodine. All these guys have had multiple wins and didn't finish in the top 9, and the top 9 was excellent! I mean this has to be the greatest race because of the talent in the field. SO many names that were excellent drivers! Other drivers in the field with wins (not at the time of course!) Ron Bouchard, Bobby Hillin Jr, Greg Sacks, Jody Ridley, Dick Brooks, Lake Speed,. 26 of the 40 drivers have a Cup Win!! Incredible!! 15. The Chevy again had plenty of pep in its step as the team took it to victory lane for a second-straight race as that last lap pass on Harry Gant's Monte Carlo. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
