Even the 11th place finisher only got $25. That's equivalent to about
$238 in 2019 according to the inflation calculator. Wouldn't cover many
costs for guys that traveled from beyond the immediate area. NASCAR
certainly wasn't a money making enterprise for much of anyone back then.

Herb Thomas would flip over a bank on the final green-flag lap of the
race, the race would end under caution due to rain.

The location for this track is incorrect. Sharon Speedway is in Hartford
Township, OH.
