Oldwillie posted: 12.01.2014 - 4:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I was there that day. Herb Thomas had two cars at the track, 92, a '53 Hudson and 9, a 52 Hudson. Herb started in the 92. Dick Rathmann was in 9. early in the race the 92 broke and Herb took over the 9, and finished second. Car 120 was not at the track. After the race, I went to the pits. Herb was irate and believed he was the winner.
