ScottB posted: 01.28.2020 - 11:17 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The three consecutive wins by Herb Thomas came with two different manufacturers, the first in a Plymouth and the next two in a Hudson. He's listed as owner/driver in all three of those races. Not sure if it was strategy to run the lighter Plymouth at the shorter track and the more powerful Hudson at the longer ones, or just coincidence that those were the cars that were ready to go on those dates. 4. ScottB posted: 01.28.2020 - 11:25 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Looking back at the results for Herb Thomas, he had crashed out of a race with in a Hudson the day before his win streak started in the Plymouth. So, that was probably a case of going to the back-up car because his primary could not be repaired in time. That makes the three straight wins even a little more impressive. 5.
