Helio Castroneves had been running second when the lap began but his shuffling back resulted in him being collected. Danny Lasoski was also involved but able to continue, he actually contended for the win after they repaired his car before he had had to ding himself for a yellow-line violation. This was the IROC debut for the late Bobby Hamiliton, Martin Truex Jr, Sebastien Bourdais, Buddy Rice and Max Papis. Truex and Hamilton had a great run, both contending for the win with Rice also scoring a top-5. 5. His win here was his second, and last, in the series at Daytona following up on his 2003 victory and it would turn out to be his penultimate win in the series...but it kicked off a championship season for him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
