i was at this race and i believe there was a caution. someone spun
through the infield. don't remember who or even what lap but im pretty
sure there was a caution

Mike Bliss' lone IROC win

There were two IROC races at Chicagoland and the Cup guys didn't win
either one, Buddy Lazier won the 2002 event.

Scott Sharp makes his first IROC start of 2003, he came in to replace
fellow IRL racer Felipe Giaffone in the last two races after Giaffone
was sidelined by an IndyCar injury.

If I am not mistaken this was the only IROC race won by a driver being
invited from the Truck series.

I believe that is correct. I know they didn't run many IROC races, and
you can't really compare the non-NASCAR drivers to the NASCAR drivers in
these events, but it is interesting to see the results among the NASCAR
guys for a lot of these races in equal equipment.
