Are there even 1,000 people in the stands for this race? They should have run this race yesterday afternoon, had Cup practice and qualifying today and not tried to compete with the football games. NASCAR will lose that fight every time. On a side note, I think it's foolish of F1 to try to compete with NASCAR at Talladega too for attendance purposes, since they won't win that fight either. 36. He's been really good at the plate tracks in ARCA, nice to see him break through in the Truck Series as well. Really, I feel bad for the guy considering he was apparently slated to run full-time in the series this year and then got moved to a part-time schedule so Kaz Grala and others could race for GMS. REALLY hope this guy gets to go full-time in the near future. I don't think he's Cup material, but he could do really well in the Trucks. That big crash with Ben Rhodes, Brandon Brown, and others was really nerve-racking, Brown hit the HELL out of the outside wall. Lucky nobody got hurt in that one, several guys took huge hits in this one. Sucks to see Hemric get eliminated, but that's how this Chase system works. One bad race is enough to completely derail your entire season under this format. Don't particularly like that, but...I guess it is what it is. Also, I'm impressed they DIDN'T throw the yellow for Hayley crashing on the backstretch on the final lap-not that they should have; Hayley was WELL out of the racing groove and there were no other trucks behind the main pack; there was no real danger and everyone had plenty of time to slow down before they got back around to the crash site. I'm surprised because normally they WOULD throw the yellow in this situation and mess up the finish. (Though I don't think it would've affected the outcome; Enfinger was out front when the accident happened...) Also...What is this? Hayley here is correctly being credited with a crash DNF, since he didn't complete the final lap. Yet in other cases this year where cars wrecked out on the final circuit, they've been credited as 'running'. What's the deal here? If they could properly credit Hayley with a DNF here, why couldn't they in all the other cases this year? I'm...confused... 112. Hope he gets more of a shot next year. And kudos for NASCAR for letting the finish play out. Hopefully the Cup race tomorrow will be good as well. 120.
