Graf (in again a weaker field) got 13th with a 67.5. In Atlanta, Gaulding again was +20 in driver rating, which is significant. It is crazy to me that you'd downvote these facts. I get that you are a fan of him, but to say he is even in the ballpark with what Gaulding was doing last year is simply ignoring facts and stats, which is what this site is all about after all. Keeping bias out of it, there's no way anyone can say Graf has been even close to Gaulding. Gaulding was the top non-playoff driver last year, which people seem to forget. Graf's adjusted pace is nearly 300 points off Gaulding. 22. ShinyMew151 posted: 06.17.2020 - 2:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oh no, trust me, I'm not a fan. Not anymore lol 38. gary24fan posted: 06.19.2020 - 11:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @31 I see this as another problem NASCAR and motorsports in general has right now. At one time you could look at the sponsors on the cars and know exactly what the product was and what they did (GM Goodwrench, DuPont, Tide, Valvoline, etc. etc.). When I have to wonder what some name or logo is on the car, or I have to Google it and look it up, that's a problem. 39. A.J. posted: 06.19.2020 - 11:36 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Not always. JSPorts posted: 06.19.2020 - 12:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) That's really too bad. Joe is always good at getting results out of bad/mediocre equipment at the plate tracks. Timothy_Eklund posted: 06.19.2020 - 1:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @38 that is kind of the point. New sponsors WANT people to google them. 48. NASCAR used to also have sponsors I needed to search up. 54. JSPorts posted: 06.19.2020 - 10:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It seems like a lot more of them now are these tech companies or something like that, where it's not as familiar a name. Plus, there are a ton more sponsors now than back when a car used to have 1 or maybe 2 sponsor for a full season. 55. rm posted: 06.19.2020 - 10:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Joe finished right ahead of Harmon himself at Daytona in February, and they ran nose-to-tail pretty much all day, not sure anyone can do much at a plate track in that car, and honestly it doesn't speak too favorably to Joe if Harmon ran just as well as he did. Though Joe or pretty much any other active driver would probably run better than Viens will in that thing...Surprisingly, the only three ARCA races Viens ever ran to the end were plate races, and while he was multiple laps down in some of Roger Carter & Wayne Peterson's finest cars, he was running at the finish. Which leads me to believe that he probably won't start any crashes during the race, mostly due to the fact that he won't be able to keep up with any sizable pack long enough to cause any chaos. 56. First win for the 11 car since 2006 in Xfinity Paul Menard won the Milwaukee race. Seems like Justin Haley loves to win when its late. Did it today. Gray Gaulding, and Alex Labbe both also got Top 10's today as well, Jesse Little got a career best 13th as well, Tommy Joe Martins got 15th best xfnity finish since 2014 at Talladega, Robby Lyons, and Mason Massey got their first xfinity lead lap result. and Johnny Davis by the way all 4 of there cars lead lap hadn't done that in quite some time. Haley was annoyed by it since it was floating like you would see a ceiling fan inside the car, but it paid off to deal with it to score the victory. Ross Chastain says this is the best second place finish he's ever had, to finish 1-2 with teammate Justin Haley, exact opposite of how they finished 1-2 at the 2019 Daytona Xfinity race during July. The three teammates driving for Matthew Kaulig all had a part for Justin's victory. On the final lap, A.J. Allmendinger was three wide on the outside coming off Turn 2, and had so much momentum he gave Ross Chastain a push, which allowed Ross to bump draft Justin. Then, that gave Justin the momentum to get by Jeb Burton. After all the cars parked on pit road, Ross came over to Justin Haley before the post-race interview to celebrate finishing 1-2 together, then later A.J. came to celebrate as well. 259. Similarly, SS-Greenlight's gotta be happy that Gaulding snuck back into the top ten at the end, since Graf was a victim of the same crash that knocked out Williams. You'd expect him to be challenging for a playoff spot, but he's had 2 mechanical failures, a crash DNF & some other accidents through the first 11 races, which has put him all the way back in 19th in the points. He's 74 points out of the playoffs as they run, which means he'd have to make up ~5 points per race on 12th-place Brandon Brown. Brown's average finish is 14.9, so Clements would have to have an average around 9.9. I can't see that happening. His only hope at this point is a win on a road course or a plate track, or really bad luck by several of his competitors. 293.
