Maybe he can finally win this one! He's been so close - 25 top 5s (including 6 2nd-place finishes) and 520 laps led in his career, but still no victories. He's got to get one sooner or later. 5. Saturday he had a 12-second lead when the yellow came out with seven laps to go. Sunday, he was holding off Briscoe when the yellow comes out with just over a lap to go. Briscoe had been cutting the gap down and had the lead down to about 7/10ths of a second when he scrubbed the wall with three laps left. At the time, that looked to be his shot at victory gone, but this new yellow has breathed life back into his victory chances and now he's taken the lead off of pit road. Hate to see Hemric & Annett caught up in Herbst & Allmendinger's little spat, though, seems like Hemric really can't get too many breaks to go his way. Feel like this is already beating a dead horse but man Carson Ware was both slow and in the way today. When teammate Joe Graf Jr. - the very same Joe Graf Jr. that is all but universally regarded as a driver in way over his head in this series and nowhere near ready for an Xfinity ride! - is running circles around him, maybe it's time to take a step back and reassess whether Ware should be in Xfinity right now himself. To drive the point home: Ware's fastest lap on the day was 148.043 mph, 37th out of the 38 starters and only ahead of Stephen Leicht, who parked his car after just 9 laps. The only other driver that didn't break the 150 mph mark was Avila in the 02, who was also running a start and park after the car was wrecked yesterday. By comparison, Graf's fastest lap was 156.608 mph. Going to cross my fingers that RWR doesn't put him in a Cup car at some point this year because there's no chance that would end well. 82.
