Chastain, Austin Hill, and Cockrum have no points and must qualify on time, and Earnhardt is too low in owner points to be eligible for a provisional and must also qualify on time. However, all of these are strong cars (remember, even though it's a new number, it's the same team Cockrum ran for at Daytona and Talladega and ran well). So, in order of least likely to get a provisional, we have: (#16, #25, #61, #81), #21, #10, #38, #93, #74, #28. Since Nemechek is the only Past Champion in the field (other than Reddick) that has provisional to be used, he is guaranteed entry, otherwise he would be between the two RSS cars above. If qualifying gets washed out, the four going home would be #25, #61, #81, and #21. 17. The Cup car I'm sure provided a significant increase in money for the team (especially Kansas with the #46 and #66). But I'm just worried that Carl is trying too hard to ave 4 decent cars rather than 2-3 cars that I believe can run from 15th-25th come race day. So if I were Carl I'd sell the Cup cars he has, later on in the season sell the Owner Points for the 13 when it racks up a little more points (but keep the Camry itself), and focus efforts on Hill in the #66, Finchum in the #42, and park the #35 with Gase when it doesn't have sponsorship like the #38 for RSS Racing (but Gase usually attracts sponsors quite frequently so they probably won't need to park too much). Because I believe with the little employees having to work on one less car and able to not have to share the equipment across 4 cars, and would likely earn equil/better purse an results with 3 stronger cars than 4 cars. 93. Mannoroth posted: 07.06.2019 - 5:08 am Rate this comment: (0) (2) This is very interesting - before Ross Chastain's DQ at Iowa in Trucks, there wasn't any single case of some car getting DQed. And after that first case, Christopher Bell and A.J. Allmendinger all failed post-race inspection as well. And not even a month has passed... It should be exactly vice-versa, no? If there's a first case of DQ, you should be extra careful not to get DQed as well, not just try to bend the rules too. Anyway, I was right about my pick to win this race, so now let's see, if Chastain can win a race on a normal track under normal circumstances in this series as well... This win is cool for him, but it's a superspeedway win that anyone can get. He still has to outperform everyone without that #42 car of Chip Ganassi Racing like he did it twice in Trucks. 227.
