He kept his nose clean all day, no incidents, just good clean racing. Way to go man! First, but certainly not the last! Expect the wins to come soon! 2. WallaceFan posted: 04.20.2008 - 8:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oh yeah! the race! It was pretty good. It took forever, 2 red flags to fix the wall and clean the track. Long caution periods but overall very exciting. Boris Said was really mad (and really funny) at Marcos Ambrose for spinning him. (which ended his race) Im sure Boris will cool down, Marcos seems pretty hard to stay mad at. Great runs for Marcos, Pruett, Carpeteater, hornish, and Adrian Fernandez..who despite being wrecked pretty good..came back for a top 15. VIVA LOS MEXICANO! 3. He should be banned from Natinwide (they should start calling it Busch seres again at this rate) and Trucks I thought a non-Cup guy had a shot at winning this one but Spock (what I will refer to him as from now on, because that is what I think he looks like) just had to whack this otherwise good race 4. most posted: 04.20.2008 - 9:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) boohoo Busch for being upset a full time guy racing for his career roughed you up (Ambrose). That kid needs turned around so I thought Ambrose went easy on him. Heaven forbid an actual Nationwide guy win a freaking race. Between this, spoiled rich girl in the IRL winning and CART's last race, I think we may look back on this as a sad weekend of racing someday (when the sport of racing is gone) 5. samfan08 posted: 04.20.2008 - 10:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Outside of the run in with Fernandez, great run for Hornish in his first stock car road course race. And congratulations to Steve Wallace on his first top 10. I hope he can keep it up and continues to mature. 6. She didnt have the best car, and just managed to lead the last 2 laps and win...big deal. A wins a win but I'll believe in her if she wins another one. Kyle Busch- Get a life- Go somewhere else- Not in the Busch Series. Im tired of him driving and complaining about other guys. If your gonna drive (like Bowyer,Edwards,Ragan) go ahead, but dont cry when the Nationwide Reuglars rough you up a bit. 7. Anonymous posted: 04.21.2008 - 1:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) If you jokers actually knew anything, you'd know that Kyle Busch didn't even want to be in this race! The sponsor made him! I am sick of seeing this stupid complaining after every race. If it's not one thing it's another. 8. Ambrose_fan posted: 04.21.2008 - 6:34 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Way to go Marcos. If only there were a few more laps. Hopefully he can carry some momentum over to the ovals. What I saw of the race was pretty damn good, although I had to leave for work right at the half-way point. 9. So now Kyle isn't a person and he's just a puppet for his sponsors? Why should he be let off the hook just because he didn't really want to race? If he didn't want to go, he could have stayed home and let Gibbs put someone else in the car. 10. DaleSrFanForever posted: 04.21.2008 - 1:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) What a cluster@$#*! Before they go back they need to make some serious changes to the course. First of all it is ridiculous and incredibly dangerous that they needed wreckers to straighten the wall up after it was hit. What if another driver crashed behind the one that hit the wall in the pocket it made? That could be deadly. Secondly, they need more turnoff lanes so if someone busts a radiator or an oil cooler at the start line, they don't grease the entire track. The red flags were awful. A three and a half hour telecast with very little actual racing. 11. DaleSrFanForever posted: 04.21.2008 - 1:09 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) As far as Danica goes, she needed a more impressive win to really knock the doors over. After 4 years of hype, hype and more hype (not to mention some incredibly hot magazine photos) she was helped by many factors. 1) She won it on fuel milage. Many in front of her had to pit or slow down to make it. 2) It was a split weekend with many of the top open wheel racers (Paul Tracy, Rahal's boy etc.) in Long Beach not even competing against her. 3) The last two IRL champions have defected to NASCAR, even further diluting the field. A win is a win, but I think this minimized her impact big time. Of course the media is going nuts over it because they hyped her up for so long, they can finally pay it off. But this needed to happen back in '05 or '06 to really make waves. 12. What the hell is Doosan? I found out that it's a construction equipment and machine tool company from a Google search. Anyway, ESPN sucks again, by not showing how the bitch even got around Scott Pruett. Pruett was like 5 car lengths ahead and pulling away, they cut to something else, and magically Busch is in the lead without any explanation or replay of the pass. Other than that, they were pretty good at catching the rest of the ridiculous mayhem on the track in this dreadfully long race. I'll admit the racing was good, though. This is a fun track, but as was mentioned above, they seriously need some runoff areas for broken down cars. You'd think they would, considering CART/Champ Car ran there for several years. Plus, they need a safer barrier. 15. Rusty posted: 04.22.2008 - 7:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Nationwide series debut for Erik Darnell. 16. So I guess we could also say this is why Cup drivers shouldn't race in these races. Right? How many times has a cup regular taken out a nationwide driver? You're so ignorant. You sad little man. 21. To get there teams had to travel in packs and have police escorts! It got really bad, I think that was a big factor... 25. I'd much rather see Mexico City, Road America, Mid-Ohio and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on the schedule than 2 races of Pocono, Loudon, Chicagoland and Kansas. A road course like Mexico City (or any of the other 3) would be extremely beneficial in the Chase. One can dream, I suppose... 28. rm posted: 09.21.2016 - 12:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Hey 27, you must not remember the Mexico City races, or you're looking back at them far too fondly. They were usually pretty dull and as far as road courses go it is easily the worst the Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity series has visited in the past decade. I'd take Montreal or Road America over this track any day. 29.
