Buschwhackers have truly ruined this series. 5. je24go posted: 08.06.2006 - 11:07 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) "Wow.....This race suckeed.....1 lead change......wow....this aint 1965 herre....ummmmm....yeah." Here's a list of those drivers: #2 - Brandon Miller (sub for Clint Bowyer) #5 - Dennis Setzer (sub for Kyle Busch) #11 - Matt Crafton (sub for Paul Menard) #16 - Erik Darnell (sub for Greg Biffle) #18 - Casey Atwood (sub for J.J. Yeley) #20 - Kertus Davis (sub for Denny Hamlin) [Aric Almirola, who had served as Hamlin's substitute driver a few times in 2006, was busy driving the No. 19 Busch car for Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend.] #21 - Randy LaJoie (sub for Kevin Harvick) #41 - Kevin Hamlin (sub for Reed Sorenson) #60 - David Ragan (sub for Carl Edwards) Jeff Burton, Johnny Sauter, and Kenny Wallace were also working double-duty between IRP and IMS, but I'm not aware of any of those three having a substitute driver on-hand at either track. In a similar situation as what happened at Martinsville a few weeks earlier, Robert Yates Racing decided not to have Stephen Leicht pull double-duty between the Busch race and the Cup race. Leicht was going to attempt the Brickyard 400 this weekend, so the team decided to have another driver drive the No. 90 Busch car and allow Leicht to focus on making the Cup race. The team gave the nod to David Gilliland to race at IRP. Gilliland would make one more Busch Series start for RYR in 2006 before moving straight to Nextel Cup full-time in 2007. 13.
