Bowyer, Gordon, Busch, and Benson fighting for the lead. When they all
crash and waltrip drives by to win. What a great finish.

I have to agree with Chicago. I was anticipating how great the finish
was going to be, with four cars racing for the line, when they wrecked.
It took me a second to realize that it was Michael that had gotten
through the wreck first. One of the most exciting races I've ever seen,
and my driver wins it. Can't get any better than that.

Bowyer should have won this race. Thanks to Kyle Busch he didn't. Tough
break it would have been cool to see him win in only his second career
busch start.

Such a funky finish. Side note: Braun Racing entered David Stremme in a
Dodge numbered 30, because another team used the #32 that weekend).

actually, if i remember correctly, it was BOWYER who took out BUSCH.
well, it is controversial, but to me it looked like clint started the
wreck.

That finish was crazy. Too bad we can't see these more often. I don't
like close finishes that are only close because of GWC. Johnny Sauter
loses because of the scoring loops.

Hill Motorsports on the #56 in 2004...

In 2019 there's a Truck team called Hill Motorsports that runs the #56.
Is there some background I'm missing here or is it just a coincidence?

Clint Bowyer's Busch debut the weekend before at Texas went about as
poorly as it could possibly go - so one week later he goes out and comes
within a lap and a half of winning the race. At Texas, the FOX crew said
that they hoped that his performance wouldn't impact RCR's decision to
field cars for Bowyer in the future or Bowyer's psyche from such a
rotten debut. I think it's safe to say Bowyer wound up being just fine,
though the ever-elusive first win was still over a year away at this point.
