Jeff posted: 03.04.2006 - 1:35 am Rate this comment: (1) (3) Mike Wallace,Shawna Robinson and Joe Nemechek were three wide going into Turn 3 on the first lap. Shawna moved up into Joe,and they both crashed. When ESPN interviewed Shawna and Joe,they blamed Wallace, but Mike had nothing to do with the driving. I guess this is the first case of Shawna being a moving chicane. 4. Darrell posted: 05.24.2006 - 12:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Didn't Wallace say something like women don't belong in NASCAR? 5. Hermie Sadler's #25 did DNQ, along with Elton Sawyer's #38, Kevin Lepage's #71 and 13 other guys. 10. The Real Thomas posted: 07.12.2008 - 8:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) Shawna Robinson caused this wreck. Anyone with eyes could see it if they watched the replay. ESPN had about 4 good angles of the crash. You could easily see that Mike Wallace was on the bottom of the track, minding his own business when Shawna was in the middle and hounding Nemechek, who was on the outside, like there was no tomorrow. She got loose and then came down the track into Wallace, thus shooting her back up into Nemechek and both of them slammed the wall. Like Wallace said in the interview, they (especially Shawna) needed a scapegoat for wrecking on the first lap after starting on the front row. 11. Just another case of that fool driving over his head. He's done it his whole career. Loser. 12. How about you guys look up this race on youtube and quite obvious this was 100% Mike Wallace's fault. 17. TaterRacing posted: 10.20.2012 - 1:13 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) According to ESPN telecast, these are the DNQs: Morgan Shepherd Andy Hillenburg Kerry Teague Johnny Smith Stevie Reeves Robbie Stanley Johnny Chapman Ken Schrader Chad Chaffin Robbie Reiser Dave Rezendes Dale Fischlein Kevin LePage Jeff Purvis Tim Steele TV said 59 drivers tried to qualify, although only posted names to account for 58. The also named Tommy Houston, but he did not attempt the race after running 360 straight Busch Series races. 18. Crash McGehee posted: 10.20.2012 - 4:42 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) I don't know about anyone else, but bmb5150 is obviously bombed because Mike Wallace had such a good run down the back stretch that if he didn't go 3-wide he would have taken out 10 or 20 cars. He ran the normal racing line through the corner. The wreck was Nemechek's fault. He came from the high line like Shawna wasn't even there. 19. awesomebillfan9 posted: 04.13.2013 - 2:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Last of 28 career Nationwide wins for car owner Ed Whitaker 20. Classic days of great NASCAR when qualifying was exciting to watch, blue collar working men makin' a living in the sport where nothing was given. Now it's a JOKE 29. Great accomplishment by Shawna Robinson to become the first woman in history to win a pole in the Busch Series. 30. Jimnsimforever posted: 02.15.2019 - 7:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Should've said first ESPN2 broadcast of a Cup or Busch race because ESPN did broadcast all kinds of racing back in the day and for all I know they could've just televised a Modified Series, East or West Series, Busch North, Featherlite regional or Dash Series Nascar race on the channel at some point before this. Should've also mentioned that Shawna also broke the track record with her pole run. 31.
