1986 Busch Championship using the Formula One points system from the
same year.

Despite scoring only 1 point in the last 10 races, Jack Ingram wins the
championship by 15 points (1 win, 1 2nd) over Brett Bodine.

Brett Bodine wins the battle but loses the war as he finishes in front
of Larry Pearson but Pearson's runner-up finish was still enough to edge
Brett by just seven points to take the championship. This was Bodine's
fifth and final Busch series victory.
