Dreary day in Memphis with rain seeming to threaten the whole time. Jeff Fultz took the lead in turn 3 on lap 1 and led every lap en route to winning. 2. Coffee leaving from its title sponsor role for 2003 NASCAR used the arrival of new sponsor Kodak as a good time to rebrand the series as the Southeast Series. 3. Reutimann came into this race with the points lead by a narrow margin of just 5 points over Fultz with Charlie Bradberry still mathematically in it as well. Fultz qualified second and took the lead at the start with Reutimann starting back in 13th and charging up into the top-5 within the first 40 laps when his Pennzoil #00 blew an engine that dealt his title hopes a fatal blow. With David gone and Bradberry a nonfactor Fultz took control as he led every lap on the way to winning both the race and his first All Pro championship. This race was run the same day as a rain postponed NASCAR Busch Series race. Reutimann ran both races, finishing 12th and leading 12 laps as he completed all 250 laps in the process before setting forth on his ultimately unsuccessful All Pro title shot. Fultz would return to defend his new All Pro title in 2003 with Bradberry also coming back to fight him for it. This was Reutimann's last full season on the tour as he began his efforts to move up to NASCAR's Big 3 levels. 8.
