Shane Seig's 37th place finish is listed twice. Either way this was his
ProCup debut.

This was the last USAR race as a normal racing series, for 2001 USAR
became the first notable racing series to adopt a playoff format in
addition to a new and unique for the time North/South format.

A total of 55 drivers entered the competition for 40 possible starting
spots. Drivers who failed to qualify included: Karen Schulz, Tim
Clayton, Don Satterfield, Jabe Jones, Jimmy McClain, Marty Ward, Joe
Harrison, Jr., Keith Montgomery, Ted Christopher, Glenn Sullivan, and
Jerry O'Neil. Mark King, Larry Wilcox and Calvine Redwine loaded up
before qualifying due to accident and/or mechanical problems.

Brian Drebber and Bill Venturini were the commentators. Stephen Cox was
the sole pit road reporter.
