This will be the first time they run two races at the Bullring. 4. rm posted: 09.26.2020 - 3:22 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First caution at lap 50 - Trevor Huddleston was leading after starting third but a right front tire blowout entering turn 3 will knock him out of the lead and almost certainly out of the race. Jesse Love will assume the lead with Blaine Perkins second and Gracie Trotter third. 5. rm posted: 09.26.2020 - 3:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Love and Perkins got a little too preoccupied racing each other on the restart and let Trotter and Gio Scelzi get by to assume the top two spots. The contact between Love and Perkins must have cut down the right front from Perkins as he promptly nosed lightly into the outside wall himself. Looks like he's not damaged as badly as his teammate's car was, though he's going behind the wall at the moment. 6. rm posted: 09.26.2020 - 3:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Trotter is the first woman to lead a West race since Zamora at Evergreen last year. Perkins returned to the track, down a few laps, but almost as soon as he does a debris caution flies, presumably with his car as the culprit. 7. Can she pick up her first win today? Laps go by fast here. Now with 25 laps to go, she has increased her lead to a little over 2 seconds. She has not led any laps in any series tracked by RR prior to this race. 9. Jesse Love briefly took the lead at the restart, then Gracie Trotter pulled back out front. Another caution comes out at lap 137. 10. There were several late-race restarts and she easily pulled away every time. 14. Congrats to her. 15. fhdj posted: 09.26.2020 - 4:13 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great win from Trotter, Absolutely wiped the field. Convinced Love dumped the 88 to get a yellow. 16. Zach posted: 09.26.2020 - 4:40 pm Rate this comment: (1) (2) Everyone needs to calm down and remember there were only 12 cars in the damn race and not even all of them were competitive. I'm not trying to downplay her win, but come on people, this isn't exactly an extremely competitive series we are talking about. Just because she beat a handful of drivers with a similar amount of experience as her, doesn't mean she's the next "superstar" of NASCAR. Congrats to her, but let's not overhype things. 18. bcschneider53 posted: 09.26.2020 - 4:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I believe Iest was actually in a Toyota and Hillis in a Chevrolet. 19. DI9_ForLife posted: 09.26.2020 - 6:15 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) @17, look at the competition though, you've got Jesse Love and Blaine Perkins, who have won a combined 6 races this year along with other competitive drives like Holley Hollan and Gio Scelzi. Albeit the shortage of entries, I'd call the win hard earned 21. Anthony2 posted: 09.26.2020 - 6:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (2) Led 95 laps. Most laps led by a woman in stock car racing history I believe. Would've been nice if she led 69 laps, but 95 isn't so bad. KACHOW!!!! 22. Double standard much? 24. Sector posted: 09.26.2020 - 7:50 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) #23 Yeah, she's an elite talent because she's not racing against a Kevin Harvick or a Kyle Busch. Careful with what you wish for. /s 25. Prior to this the best finish for a woman in ARCA action was second in the main series on several occasions via Shawna Robinson, Erin Crocker, and Trotter's West Series victor compatriot Hailie Deegan. 28.
