I can not believe he doesn't have a full-time NNS/CWTS ride yet. Sure he's a road course expert, but winning in your first time in a series, your first time seeing a track, and just your third race with a fairly underdog team is incredibly impressive. 2. David Gilliland led a race-high 19 laps but had transmission issues that ended his day. He won this race in 2007. Jason Bowles was looking for his 3rd straight Infineon win but ran out of fuel. Paulie Harraka got his 10th career top five in his 21st start. It's his 2nd runner up finish in 5 road course starts. Brandon Davis finishes 3rd in just his 2nd career start. Eric Holmes's 4th place finish gives him the point lead by 24 points over David Mayhew who finished 23rd. Michael Self finishes a career-high 5th in his 7th career start. Todd Souza has top tens in all 4 of his West Series starts this year, but DNQ'd for Iowa. This was Mattias Ekstrom's first career NASCAR race. 6. Ekstrom was running this race as a warmup for his debut in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series the next day and would go on to have a great run in that event, even leading it, before he was spun out of contention. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
