Kevin Hamlin and Eddy McKean crashed on the final lap going for the lead. Hamlin dominated the race but as the long green flag run went on, McKean reeled in Hamlin and kept within striking distance. Given a chance with a late restart, McKean eventually found an opening and passed Hamlin, but Hamlin gave McKean the bumper coming out of the final corner and sent McKean spinning. Not sure if Hamlin actually crossed the line first or not, but by penalty he was placed at the tail end of the lead lap. Hamlin was very apologetic post-race, saying he had no intention of wrecking McKean and only got into him because he got back on the gas sooner. There were 7 cautions for 31 laps, the last yellow seems to have been omitted here. First caution - 5 spun turn 3 Second caution - 68, 92 accident (Riehl busted his radiator and while he did rejoin the race, the car didn't last much longer) Fourth caution - 01, 15 accident Sixth caution - 61 spun turn 3 Seventh caution - laps 132-136 - 6 spun turn 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
