Ron Eaton wins the pole and leads flag-to-flag as he bests Tobey Butler
to win at Evergreen Speedway. This was his third win of 1989 and his
third of nine Northwest Tour wins at this track.

Southwest Tour racer M.K. Kanke heads north for his only race on the
Northwest Tour, qualifying well but ultimately crashing out very early
in the race.
