Yes, the race will air on Thursday, February 25th at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN

Congratulation to Todd Gilliland and the entire Bill McAnally Racing team !!

Great run for Dominique Van Wieringen (running a lot of time in the top3)

Note: All car in the field use the New Body Style except the #77 of Clay
Green.

Gilliland and Spencer Davis were racing side-by-side for the lead as
they crossed the start/finish line for what should have been the white
flag lap, except the flagman never waved the flag until half the field
had already sped by.

At the finish of what would have been the 150th â?" and last â?" lap,
Gilliland had the lead but the checkered flag didn't fly and the field
continued to race.

On the last lap, Ronnie Bassett knocked Gilliland out of lead and into
Davis, who slammed into the Turn 4 wall as Bassett took the lead and the
checkered flag.

Except that was all on Lap 151 â?" one more lap than the scheduled race
distance.

NASCAR declared the race over at Lap 150, which was led by Gilliland.

The 15-year-old son of NASCAR veteran David Gilliland has now won his
debut in four different series â?" Late Model CARS Tour, ARCA, K&N West
and now K&N East.

I think Todd Gilliland is going to become another Ryan Blaney, he'll get
much better opportunities than his father and end up being a lot better

LOL. Reminds me of when Marty Reid said the race was over when there was
one lap to go... and then got fired from ESPN the next week.

And that was why I made the you're fired comment. I do admit that it was
stupid of me to post under a different name though.

Thankfully NASCAR noticed though, that would have an outrage if they
declared Bassett the winner of the Jet Tools 151...

@9 - Slightly unrelated but even though Marty Reid screwed up...a lot,
I'll always respect him after that amazing sign off after Dan Wheldon's
death.

I agree. That sign off was amazing, and I don't think Marty Reid was
that bad as a commentator, I think he was good but he got too nervous in
the booth (and made many mistakes as a result).

As great as that signoff was, lets be honest here it doesn't make up for
how atrocious he was as an announcer otherwise. Between mistakes on the
names of drivers (Ron Hornish, Jr. lol), a general lack of enthusiasm,
and other random mistakes ("Its not about quality... its about quality,
not quantity!") he just sucked. Calling Blaney the winner with a lap to
go was just the last straw for ESPN.

Reigning NASCAR Mexico champion Ruben Garcia, Jr. and NASCAR Euro Series
racer Ulysse Delsaux both make their K&N East debuts. In addition to
race winner Gilliland this was also the debut for Harrison Burton, Tyler
Dippel, Riley Herbst, Dominique Van Wieringen, David Calabrese, Reid
Wilson, Jairo Avila, Jr., Clay Green, and Hunter Baize

Austin Theriault makes his first East series start in more than three
years.

Ronnie Bassett, Jr. was flagged as the winner and got as far as taking
his victory lap, checkered flag in hand, before it was corrected. Given
Bassett has raced in K&N East for about two full seasons without winning
it has to be crushing to lose one like that but there's always next race.

I watched this race last night on NBC Sports and the broadcast didn't
acknowledge the winner's controversy until after the race. They
broadcast the closing laps as normal, Bassett wins, they go to
commerical, then came back from commercial with Gilliland parked in
victory lane as they explain the mistake. I wonder if NBC tapes its
commentary/graphics live when they do these tape delay events?

Dave Burns and Frank Stoddard were the commentators. Heather DeBeaux was
the sole pit road reporter.
