I'm more shocked that Ben Rhodes lost than I am that Newberry crashed out.

And Newberry is making his Nationwide Series debut this weekend...oh my.

Crazy Finish to a pretty good race. Looked like Gaulding had it in the
bag until he cut a tire late in the going. Fast forward to the last lap,
Brandon Jones was catching Nick Drake when Jones drove his car deep into
turn 3. Going into 4 Jones slid up the track and made contact with Drake
causing both cars to spin. Jesse Little who was about 5 or so car
lengths back at the time was able to go low and miss the crash and go on
to pick up his first win.

Jones' move was never going to work. He wrecked both himself and the
leader. Just a stupid, stupid move. Definition of dive bomb.

Pretty wild finish, from what I was able to gather. Can't wait to watch
the broadcast on July 20...

Of course, if you don't already know, Jesse is the son of Chad Little, a
former NASCAR driver.

Eddie MacDonald finished second, a good start to the weekend of his
NASCAR Sprint Cup debut.

Rhodes was looking for a record-tying fifth straight win in this series,
but came up short with some problems.

2nd week in a row where Jones dive bombed somebody in the last corner of
the last lap. He did it in the ARCA race at Winchester last Sunday.

I like how at both the ARCA race and then today Brandon was quoted with
saying "I don't like to race like that. That's not how I like to do
them." Hmm, seems that has been the way he has chose to race for the win
both times.

Jesse Little tallies his first K&N East victory in his 31st start in the
series. He picked a good time to do it given Loudon is one of the
series' few companion races with all the Busch and Cup teams watching on.

Ben Rhodes had the dominant car early on until Gray Gaulding ran into
him right before a restart under yellow. While double up on the bottom
Gaulding turned right off of 4 and damaged the 41's LF fender enough
that the car was never the same after.

Finally got around to watching this tape-delayed race, and I have
something to say that we all already know. Fox Sports 1 coverage is
downright horse manure. Seriously, it is soooo bad. They go to
commercial four laps after a restart and miss a crash, then they miss
another caution while in commercial. And the announcers (Ralph Sheehen
and someone else) miss things that are plainly obvious to see on TV, as
if they're not really watching the race!

Now I know that this is a regional series and being tape-delayed it
isn't as important, but holy cow.

Lol, does Brandon Jones have an account on here? Look at all the down
votes. Even his own mother would have to call his dive bomb in this race
a stupid move.

The move was a do-or-die, but because he came from about 2 car lengths
back, Jones was kamikaze. No other word.

Jones was mainly at fault but Drake pinched him hard. Like Todd Bodine
said on the coverage, Jones had to have seen Drake coming in hot from
that far back and should have left him more room. Drake would have
pushed up anyway and been slow off the corner which would have let Jones
have the edge the rest of the way home.

Ralph Sheheen and Todd Bodine were the commentators with Kaitlyn Vincie
on pit road.
