This race was televised by TNN as part of their American Sports
Calvacade program.

Also misidentified as the 1983 race and mixed in with a bunch of clips
from a 1982 Cup race footage from this race was included in the Diamond
P Sports video "And they Walked Away."

Specifically it included Bobby Dragon's crash. Dragon, the polesitter,
ran very strong early but had fallen back with issues. Dragon had just
passed Dave Dion to unlap himself off turn 4 when suddenly his red #71
lost control, a flat tire or a mechanical problem or something, and his
car plowed into the inside wall near the start/finish line at full
speed. Dragon had no time to react but climped out of his Pontiac
uninjured. The left front of the car was completely destroyed.

All North races here should be at Dover Downs International Speedway as
the name change did not happen until 2002
