Porter won the race without changing tires the entire night!

#70 was a Ford

There was a red flag after Marc Mitchell and Jay Middleton crashed
together. Middleton, already several laps down, pushed Mitchell up the
track on the backstretch until Mitchell couldn't get any higher - or so
he thought. Mitchell found his Taurus suddenly on its side, riding the
barrier the length of the backstretch until he got to turn 3, where his
car flipped over onto its roof. Mitchell was okay when he was finally
able to climb out.

I've read that this is the last ASA race that has been confirmed to have
been televised. ASA owner Steve Dale was paying SPEED himself to buy
time and televise this races after the now infamous MTV-era TNN deal
collapsed as the series' financial woes worsened it ran out of funds for
that. This one is known to have been televised, Elko later in the season
may have been televised, and the last couple on the big tracks
definitely weren't.
