Reed Sorenson clinched the ASA Rookie of the Year title just by starting
this race. The crown was settled quickly but he went on to have a top-5
anyway.

Kevin Cywinski had a shot to clinch the title at this race if he left
with a 143-point lead. His polesitting #1 broke a sway bar eye and ended
his hopes of walking away with the title on this night. His night's
saving grace was that title rival Butch Miller also had some issues and
finished only seven spots in front of him.

Mark Cole's last ASA start ends in a crash with Troy Wangerin right
after the start.

Albright were the pit road reporters.
