Gary St. Amant held off Kevin Cywinski at the end to claim the inaugural win. Butch Miller spun out midway through this race trying to dodge Bruce Driver's spun car. Miller rallied back from the mishap, and an ill-handling car early on, to finish third. This was the first ASA race after the death of Dale Earnhardt, many cars ran decals paying tribute to the fallen icon. 2.
