What a disaster. NASCAR is a reverse Midas. They touch something and it turns to crap. 4. NASCAR doesn't take control of ARCA until 2020,which they have already planned a great merger with k&n rules for it. 6. Come back to me after it collapses in a heap and let me know how great it is then. Over and out. 9. ARCA should be better off with the 2020 and beyond plans. Just another so called "fan" that loves taking shots at NASCAR every chance they get... SMH. 10. RaceFanX posted: 06.08.2019 - 1:49 am Rate this comment: (3) (0) What a finish! Ty Majeski's bid for three wins in a row came up short in spectacular fashion. Michael Self dominated the race but Majeski took the lead in the closing laps with a fuel mileage gamble after Self pitted. It almost worked but Majeski ran out of gas in Turn 3 on the final lap. Majeski made a last ditch effort to block Self but the Sinclair Oil special just sped by the outside as Self took a well deserved win. 14. joey2448 posted: 06.08.2019 - 4:48 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) RaceFanX beat me to it. I was wondering what could've happened on the last lap when the margin of victory was 2.7 sec with a last-lap pass. But Michigan is known for these types of finishes. Remember the Cup race in 2009 when both Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle ran dry on the final lap? 15. Alex posted: 06.08.2019 - 7:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) It can't be pure irony that they lost 33-50% of their drivers within 2-6 weeks of the announcement that NASCAR was buying them. Look at both K&N Pro Series... they used to have fields almost twice the size they do now before NASCAR decided to go to crate models and turn them into kiddy leagues. What NASCAR really needed to do is restrict ARCA to the Midwest and let them keep their schedule otherwise largely the same. It would give them three series that run different regions, and it would open up more possibilities for combo races and for drivers to run extra races to gain experience. 16. rm posted: 06.08.2019 - 10:57 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) To the rear - 06 - pitting before the green flag; 7, 11, 48 - driver choice First caution - laps 45-51 - 28 accident turn 4 Another short field, but once again there's a bit of drama for the win. 1 sponsor - Gearheadz 7 sponsor - Eat Sleep Race USA 23 sponsor - Holmes II Excavation 7 owner - Chad Bryant After Thad withdrew - not due to his injury, by the way, since he drove at Charlotte like that - Chad Bryant rolled out a backup car for Connor Hall. Hall was driving one of Joe Graf's cars from the past couple weeks. Graf, meanwhile, was running a Chevy - he is making his Xfinity debut for RCR, after all. It's the first time that the Cunningham/Chad Bryant team has fielded a Chevy for one of their drivers since 2001 with Justin Labonte! It was not a great day for Riley Herbst, pulling double duty for JGR at Michigan. He blew an engine in ARCA practice, crashed in Xfinity practice, and then had more strange power issues in the ARCA race. The team was baffled by the car's problems, and they were on pit road for an extended amount of time trying to find whatever was wrong. 17. TooSmartForThis posted: 06.08.2019 - 6:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) In 25 years of watching racing I don't think I've ever seen a series crash and burn as fast as ARCA has. Even CART's downfall was slower. It's a combination of factors. Composite bodies, making every lower stock car series in the country a playground for the Next Big 15 Year Old Super Star, the NASCAR buyout, and the overall situation in the country as a whole. There's just not as much money going around as there used to be now that most of it is sitting in the bank accounts of people like Jeff Bezos. But if you want to think that NASCAR buying ARCA so it can merge all of its minor series into one big mangled mass is a good thing, that's cool. I wish I could see the world the way you do, I'd definitely be a happier person. 18. Anthony posted: 06.08.2019 - 8:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Forcing small teams to have composite bodies and terrible prize money means that most teams lose money each race. 19. Snider turned in a solid run as he brought the Venturini #20 Toyota home with a top-10; a solid contribution toward the team's eventual owners championship. 26. This was just his seventh start in the series. 27. Rich posted: 09.12.2020 - 3:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dave Reiff and Phil Parsons were the commentators.
