Also Rodger Carters car was a car the purchased last second from Jack Hughes. 10. DH101 posted: 07.19.2014 - 11:06 pm Rate this comment: (5) (0) Mason finally gets the monkey off his back! Dodge posted: 07.20.2014 - 7:38 am Rate this comment: (1) (1) I posted on the ARCA website something about the team appearantly not being able to find another driver screw and Roger's wife lashed out at me saying something to the likes of "Don't comment on stuff you don't know about. Plus I need someone that won't just ride around."...Safe to say I know what I am talking about. There would of been time for them to change engines in the 40 car. Plus to "fall out" because of a window issue is laughable. 14. CBASS posted: 07.20.2014 - 9:58 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It's laughable but Roger is doing his best. He bout the car but didn't know it didn't have a side window until they showed up at the track and picked up the car. It's a short track car. And Roger's done more in 2 weeks than Dana ever did while he was in the slammer. He made 2 new engines show up. While she was in the charge, they had to "make do" with what was there. Already money is starting to flow back into the team, which is a good thing for those employed there. 15. FHgrad99 posted: 07.20.2014 - 4:43 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I'd say Will Kimmel or Spencer Gallagher are the two best drivers in ARCA right now without a win. Roger Carter posted on Facebook that the car showed up without a right side window and what they used to hold the window in place didn't work. I saw a picture of the #97 car and you could tell the numbers were hastily applied because you could still see part of the old number behind the #97 on the side of the car. 18. Dave #38 Fan-Go Gilliland! posted: 07.20.2014 - 7:48 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I've been really hard of him before so it's only fair that I give credit where credit is due. Congrats to Mason Mitchell on a hard-fought and well deserved win. He had a much better car than Boston in the closing laps and wasn't over aggressive and didn't wait too long to make his move. While last year it was awesome to see Frank Kimmel win his 10th, and quite likely last, championship, this year we've got quite the battle brewing. So far this year, Mitchell has had the upper hand on all the "Nascar tracks" as I call them such as Michigan, Pocono, and Chicagoland. Enfinger meanwhile has been much better at the short tracks, winning Mobile, Salem, and Elko. I think the title fight could go down to the wire this year as I expect Mason to outperform Grant at Pocono, Kentucky, and Kansas and I expect Grant to contend for the wins at Salem, Berlin, and Madison. That leaves IRP and the two dirt tracks of Springfield and DuQuoin as wildcards where anything can happen. I think this year could be as close as 2008, hopefully Grant and Mason can race with more respect for each other than Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Scott Speed did that year. 19. Anonymous posted: 07.20.2014 - 8:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It could come down to whoever blinks first. Neither has a DNF this year. Also wondering if, considering that they're apparently buildings cars and chassis left and right over at their shop, if MMM isn't going to have a second car at some point in the season. 20. Will Kimmel finished fourth without third gear. On the final two restarts of the day, Will was slow to start because of the issue, but after a lap or two, he was fast. Spencer Gallagher had the fastest car for about the first half of the race, but with the laps running out, his car became wicked loose and he couldn't hold onto the lead, getting passed by Justin Boston with 28 laps to go. After dropping out of the top-5, the caution came out with about 18 laps to go and Gallagher came down pit road to make the car better, but he still finished sixth. Justin Allison spun out early on, came back to get a top-10. 25. joey2448 posted: 07.22.2014 - 1:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Also, John Wes Townley had a fast car early, but suffered a cut tire on lap 24 while racing into turn three and hit the wall, ending his day. Austin Wayne Self suffered a similar issue on lap 51, cutting a tire while running right in front of the leaders, but he pounded the wall a lot harder than JWT since he was running right at the bottom on the white line. 26. joey2448 posted: 07.22.2014 - 1:30 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Wow I can't believe Enfinger is going to the 23 car! What's Gallagher gonna do, focus solely on the NASCAR Truck series? 27. Steve posted: 07.25.2014 - 10:36 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Well deserved win for Mason Mitchell! This was the debut race for the team's new Dodge, a former Bill Catania Racing car. The hood and quarterpanels were blank. Wayne Peterson Racing should be listed as the sponsor. 29.
