Jones was pretty aggressive on the last lap but he's going for his first win so I'll give him a pass this one time. As for Mason Mitchell, on one hand I feel bad for him, but on the other hand, I've never really been a fan of his. Some in the Nascar media seem to see him as a cup prospect but personally I've never seen enough race craft out of him to show anything. He'll probably make some truck starts somewhere down the line but he'll never even get close to anything higher than that. 0 wins in 34 career ARCA starts, with two 2nd place finishes in the last 3 races to guys making their first ARCA starts. 5 years from now he'll be in the same category as guys like Blake Feese, Phil Bozell, Chuck Barnes Jr., and Billy Leslie. All guys who had good results for a brief period in ARCA before fading into obscurity. I'm surprised Carter 2 Motorsports even showed their face at the track this week. Team owner Roger Carter is in jail and his wife (the team co-owner) is wanted by North Carolina law enforcement for parole violation. I have no idea who's running the day to day operations of the team in the meantime but they might want to think about changing the name. Can't call it Carter 2 Motorsports if the 2 Carter's are in jail. I know car counts are down lately but ARCA is embarrassing themselves by even allowing this joke of a team to show up at the track. 11. Spun out Boston and slammed Weatherman into the wall. Kyle and Anderson had a heated exchange in front of the camera on pit road. 12. Dave #38 Fan-Go Gilliland! posted: 07.06.2014 - 8:05 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Oh right I completely forgot about the first lap crash. In turns 3 and 4 on the first lap Townley and Boston both drifted pretty high, and to me it looked like Ander Bowen decided it would be a good chance to pass them both so he dive-bombed the corner, and promptly washed up the track himself and Kyle Weatherman plowed right into the back of him taking both cars out of the race before even 1 lap was completed. Rather than take blame for the incident, Bowen tried to blame someone else (I got hit in the rear) but in car camera from a car behind him showed no contact from anyone from behind when he washed up the track. In my opinion, 100% Bowen's fault and he should have apologized to Weatherman rather than try and blame him on live tv. 15. Pretty clear it was 'DNS'. 18. B. posted: 07.06.2014 - 8:37 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) In my opinion, Jones did not wreck Mitchell since Mitchell finished second. Jones was aggressive and forced him up the track, but didn't dump him/spin him or ruin his race. He just made a move to win on the last lap of a short track race. Isn't that what you want? Jami Weimer, who DNS-ed, races a weekly sport truck (so, a third or fourth-tier weekly division) at Gresham. Her best result of third came in a three-truck race. She had a sixth out of eight once which was pretty good, too. Amazing ARCA would approve her... ...but what's even worse is that people are fast-tracking her career like this. Let her develop. Give drivers some time to get the hang of it. 19. It wasn't a wreck at all, he hardly bumped him, that was win that Brandon deserved. I don't even see why this is a big deal he didn't even wreck him. If making a pass and sliding into someone which a lot of people did that whole day is a bad thing and should be punished im done watching arca cause you people need to get your F'ing heads straight. 32. numbah10hatah posted: 07.07.2014 - 6:55 pm Rate this comment: (3) (4) This is Roger Carter. I want to get some things straight on behalf of myself and my race team. This team had one objective the last several months. That was to stay on the A plan. My wife has accomplished that. She has done a wonderful job of doing so! That being said, I am so totally discussed with so many. The disrespect and things that were said to my wife are hard for me not to just handle business the way I really should. She has battled cancer taking treatment each week and nearly died twice from a reaction. My own employees and people I thought were my friends treated her like shit. I hope all of you can really feel good about yourselves. As far as all the damn rumor bullshit and all of you on this social bull shit media that are losers who have never done anything in life and gossip nothing but lies. The reason I was gone had NOTHING to do with racing or race related. The comical thing all of you set back and pull for Hendrick Motorsports and Stewart haas and would kiss there ass if the walked by you. Both are convicted Felons. Rick has done things in the car business I know first hand what happened. I also owned a Chevy dealership at the time. He could afford a pardon. Gene haas did two years for tax evasion. Their are many other you are not aware of and numerous crew members and others. I am in no way judging them. I am stating be real and stop picking on a small team over a bunch of bull shit. Now the next part. This team is done running like shit. We have a new 11000 sq shop. We are going mostly in house so I don't have to depend on anyone or very few. I am investing money to make this possible. To make all you haters happy I have three sponsors for myself. I will be back in a car ASAP. I have always given 100% to anyone who has driven for me. If you only pay 2k to drive a race car and than bitch about it. Get f**king real. You have no voice with me. Those are the people who have bitched about my team my cars ect. To politely put this f**k you! This day forward all you guys I helped and gave cheap rides and bent over backwards to help it's over. The many many free test sessions and free rides I have gave to help people it's over. No more. I am no longer a nice guy. The label some of you have put on me , well now it's on. This is a strictly business team. The ones who were loyal to the team and me. The sky is the limit. I promise to all you haters we are here to stay. Now to the low life pice of shit people who choose to steal so much from me bad move. The day will come hard in return back. Enough said about that. To sum this all up. I am back running this team with my wife. If any of you smart ass think you know it all that bash me or my wife and team. I am here now so man up! Stop talking to a women. Ok enough of the rant. This team is solid I will prove that. I have always been a man and at the end of the day will keep my word. I am far from a coward or a pussy in any way. I want to thank my loyal fans there are many. Chicago will be the beginning of the turn around. I have real race car drivers going in my cars. No broke want be famous losers or spoiled no driving mommy and daddy bitches. If this struck a nerve it's probably you. The war is on. The bullshit is over to the haters loser no life people go f**k yourself. I am getting ready to piss you off even more. To the true racer and fan. The people who stuck with my team "the few" were moving forward with success and you all will be a big part of that. That starts tomorrow. I apologize for the language, but you guys have no idea how mad I am. Also to those who so called lowered yourself to drive for a low budget team like mine lol. Lose my numbers and all. Please no ever ask for a favor again. It cost 50k to run up front not 2k. Damn you dumb asses kill me. Roger Carter Racing on Facebook. 33. He said he got hit in the right rear, but he clearly didn't have anyone even close to him when the car zoomed up into Benjamin. Could have been that something broke and he mistook it for contact. 44. joey2448 posted: 07.09.2014 - 3:23 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The finish was OK, in my opinion. Would've loved to see Mason Mitchell finally get that win, since that's his fourth runner-up finish this year, but Brandon Jones wanted it more. He didn't wreck him, he rubbed him... Also, that first lap wreck led to a hilarious exchange on pit road! Anderson Bowen was at fault, since his car just shot up the track in turns 3 and 4 and took out Kyle Weatherman and Justin Boston (who continued on). In the pit area, Bowen and Weatherman were caught on camera yelling at each other, and it ended with Weatherman storming away with a weak shove to Bowen, and CBS Sports reporter Dick Berggren (I know!) immediately started interviewing Bowen, who really looked flustered. The whole thing was pretty comical. 45.
