So, did track officials just leave Buster Grahams car on the turn one infield fence the whole race? cuz I just watched the finish of the race and while Ty Dillon is doing burnouts, they cut to a live shot (I assume) of Grahams car still sitting there in turn one...? 5. Glad to see Buster Graham was OK, however Brandon Kidd was taken to a local hospital. 7. To put this in perspective, he is already ties with Parker Kligerman for 4th most wins in ARCA since 1996. Tim George Jr. made it an RCR 1-2, following up his win in the 1st Pocono race with a 2nd here for his 7th top 5 of the season (3 in first 43 ARCA starts). Chris Buescher picked up his 6th podium finish of the season, but still has yet to win after sweeping Toledo in 2010. Tom Hessert III gets his best finish of the season in 4th with his 5th straight top 10 and 8th in 9 races. Grant Enfinger moved into 2nd in the ARCA standings (his first full season) with his 5th top 5 of the year; he hasn't finished worse than 14th all year. Max Gresham won his 2nd career ARCA pole but ended up 6th after wrecking Casey Roderick going into turn 1 after a restart. It's his 5th top 10 in 10 ARCA starts. Chad Hackenbracht gets his best finish in 3 races. Robb Brent, who won this race last season for Allgaier Motorsports, gets his first top 10 in just 2 starts in 2011. Ryan Wilson gets his first top 10 in 3 career ARCA starts since last season. 9. >>LeoGuinaBR posted: 08.10.2011 - 9:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Race move to sunday because of rain in saturday!! 10. 1995z71 posted: 01.21.2012 - 8:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Video of the crash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5VC1KoDpyM&feature=related 11. Fourth caution - laps 37-40 - 95 accident turn 3 To the rear - 75 - driver change (Bob Schacht qualified the car), 55 - transmission change 95 owner - Leavine Family Racing (same at Kansas) The first caution was infamous Buster Graham crash...leaping over the ~4-5 foot guardrail! Berte was seen arguing with someone, presumably Martel, before SPEED cut to commercial. Graham recounted in an interview after getting out of the infield care center that he was so certain he was going to end up in a carbon copy of Elliott Sadler's 2010 crash at Pocono. In what is the hardest recorded crash in NASCAR history, Sadler hit the inside guardrail of the Long Pond Straight and tore the engine out of his #19 car. Graham said he closed his eyes and braced for an impact that never really came. He said he never even knew he had gotten airtime until he got out of the car and realized he was on top of the embankment. With Graham's car out of the way - save for another one-in-a-million incident - ARCA opted to just leave the dead 59 car on top of the guardrail in the infield until the race was over. The caution was extended for cleanup and retrieval of cars as well as to help the 7 of Brandon Kidd out of his car. Under caution, the left rear wheel on the 15 of John Blankenship mysteriously came off on the frontstretch, extending the caution even further. Blankenship pulled a u-turn at the exit of pit road to fix the issue, while his now-liberated wheel found its way towards the start of the turn 1 guardrail. 15. He would go on to win the series championship this year. 17. rm posted: 10.24.2019 - 2:34 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) To the rear: 29, 75 - driver change; 52, 55 - transmission change; 06 - driver choice DC: 29 - Rob Jones - Cox Masonry/Fox Realty - Wayne Hixson - Chevrolet 75 - Bob Schacht - AARP Drive to End Hunger - Bob Schacht - Chevrolet 08 owner - Randy Hill 14 owner - Andy Hillenburg (DNQ) 57 owner - Bob Schacht Not exactly a banner day for Wayne Hixson's camp. Of the four cars they brought to the track they had one DNQ, one break on the opening start of the race and one two-lap start and park. At least Nick Igdalsky put together a lead-lap finish at his family's home track. 18. Rich posted: 09.10.2020 - 2:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Rick Allen and Phil Parsons were the commentators.
