Also, this parity means we're going to see the closest championship battle in years in terms of cars actually in it. We have 7 cars within 150 points of each other at the top of the standings with just nine races to go. While '08 and '09 had some terrific championship battles, those were really just two or three car races. First ARCA top-ten for Brandon McReynolds. 2. potatosalad48 posted: 08.01.2010 - 12:49 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Robb Brent gets his first ARCA win. This was only the 4th race he's ever led in ARCA, two of them being at Pocono (2008 and 2010). Dakoda Armstrong gets his 3rd straight top five finish after only two in his first 15 ARCA starts (but which included his win at Talledega this season). Craig Goess gets his 5th straight top ten finish and series-leading 5th podium finish of the season; nobody else has more than 2 (9 drivers). Tom Hessert III only had 1 top five in each of his previous two seasons in ARCA, but his 4th place finish was his 5th of 2010. Justin Marks gets his 10th top five in 52 career ARCA starts. His point lead over Goess is down to 30 points. 6. The 125 mile experiment lasted 6 years, with only the 2011 running - featuring Buster Graham's infamous guardrail leap - exceeding 62 minutes in length or having more than 2 cautions. One of those 125-milers even went caution-free, with Corey LaJoie taking advantage of Erik Jones' late-race misfortune to claim a win. Dylan Moltz won a contest at Charlotte Motor Speedway held by Richard Petty that earned him a ride in this race. The car was fielded by Rick Fedrizzi of the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Moltz wound up a lap down after hitting the wall and speeding on pit road, but the contest was deemed a success and it returned twice more over the next year, once at Rockingham and once at Chicagoland. 11. Additionally, Allgaier Motorsports has only won 1 race since this victory. 13. rm posted: 08.05.2020 - 2:56 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) 0 sponsor - Mike's Foreign Car Repair (DNQ) Wayne Peterson needed some car repair - to his Chevrolet, ruining this joke - when he wrecked in qualifying, smacking the wall with the right side of the car.
