Man, yet again, he comes up just a little short. 2. 18fan posted: 04.19.2009 - 10:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Schrader absolutely dominated the race but ran out of gas with three laps to go, handing the win to Caisse. Caisse had throttled back with 30 laps to go and therefore didn't run out of gas. Good Rockingham racing with the outside being the preferred line and tires wore out fast and speeds fell off incredibly. 3. Ryan Crane finishes 8th in his first career start. Also first career start for Drew Herring, Kyle Martel, Brian Ickler, and Brent Brevak. 4. (an unidentified slow car was pulling in the pits to park it and almost got taken out by Leslie's sliding car!) Second caution - laps 22-27 - 31 accident backstretch (lucky dog: ???) Third caution - laps 55-68 - 77 spun turn 2 (lucky dog: 20) (extended caution for cleanup for what appeared to be the 28's blown motor) Fourth caution - laps 76-80 - 6, 16 accident backstretch (lucky dog: 8) Fifth caution - laps 106-111 - 4 spun frontstretch (lucky dog: ???) To the rear - 20 - unapproved adjustments 20 crew chief - Wayne Carroll (same for all Arpin races in 2009) A very large piece of debris, an industrial-sized garbage bag, was on the frontstretch for multiple laps but a caution never waved as it got stuck to the catchfence, out of harm's way. 17. This would be his best ARCA finish although he would match it later on. 20. rm posted: 04.29.2020 - 8:07 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) 6 sponsor - King Tiger Tae Kwon Do/Lofton Cattle 28 sponsor - DB Autosport Custom Cars 33 sponsor - Charter Communications 43 sponsor - Martel Racing 52 sponsor - Federated Auto Parts/Hendrick Honda 8 owner - Brian Ickler So how did one of Rick Hendrick's Honda dealerships wind up on Schrader's car? Well, Schrader fielded a car in the East series the year prior for a relative of the Hendrick family and was driving a chassis that could trace its roots back to HMS originally. One year after losing the lead with 5 laps to go at the Rock, Schrader loses the lead with 3 laps to go. Harsh. Schrader was leading by over 8.5 seconds when he had to pit. Usually Schrader & crew chief Donnie Richeson are on the money, as this was a rare misstep for the KSR boys. Brent Brevak's ARCA debut ended very early and in the wall. Brevak wrecked while racing with Brian Ickler, and Brevak's ex-Evernham Dodge with the Scott Riggs-era Valvoline colors still prominently featured was pretty well destroyed as a result. 21.
