This was Nadeau's final ARCA start and his best finish in the series. Laton was helped on his way to victory by ARCA champion Tim Steele and polesitter Matt Hutter. Steele and Hutter got together early in turn 4 just as Steele made the pass for the lead and it ended with both spinning into the outside wall. Both were done for the night and Hutter took responsibity for the crash...something Steele fully agreed with as he said the reason he was trying to pass Hutter so early was because he thought the kid was going to mess up and take him out. Another hard crash later in the night sent both Curt Piercy and James Boulton to a Charlotte hospital for precautionary X-rays. Piercy would race again another day, this was Boulton's only ARCA start of 1997 and his last (if not only) in the series. 2. 83andJoe posted: 07.08.2013 - 6:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #3 owner: Ken Appling 3. 83andJoe posted: 09.13.2013 - 7:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #01 owner: Richard Jackson 4. 23andJoe posted: 06.15.2014 - 6:06 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #06 owner: Wayne Peterson #1 owner: James Finch #5 owner: Mike Swaim #9 owner: Ed Berrier #14 owner: Thee Dixon #43 owner: Johnny Ray #51 owner: Greta Hall #65 owner: Sammy Potashnick #76 owner: Mike Lorz #92 owner: Bob Cooper #97 owner: Billy Ballew 5. 23andJoe posted: 06.18.2014 - 12:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #5 owner: Mike Swaim, Sr. 6. In 1994 and 1995 he had one win and four top-5s in that series here at Charlotte. ARCA and Sportsman are were also similar in construction, both usually being ex-Cup cars. His only win in that series though was marred by tragedy so it's nice to see him get a big win and truly get to enjoy it. This indeed was Tim Boulton's lone ARCA start. He did attempt a few NASCAR Truck races the following year though. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
