I know that somebody had blown something and put oil on the track around the midpoint between one and two, Eric Smith hit it and spun, and around the same time, Dave Weltmeyer...dunno if he hit it, but Weltmeyer actually rolled the car on the backstretch, coming to a stop inverted with his front facing the outside wall. I had noticed that there were marks on the wall, so I'd assume Weltmeyer hit the oil, tried to save it, then hooked sharply up the track, and either the hit with the wall or the sharp hook flipped him over. Whatever put him upside down, Weltmeyer was fine. 2. 23andJoe posted: 06.03.2014 - 11:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Robbie Pyle was in the #8 #0 owner: Tim Priebe #8 owner: Jerry Lawrence #76 owner: Mike Lorz #81 (Leslie) owner: Cleve Smith 3. It was the third and final victory of his 1994 championship season. 4. rm posted: 07.26.2018 - 8:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Video of the partial incident can now be found on the ARCA website. It appears that Weltmeyer was hit by another car, causing him to lose a wheel and turn over in a strange fashion. According to the article, Weltmeyer suffered a leg injury that kept him out of ARCA competition until halfway through the next season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
