I was part of a pick up crew for Belmont in this race. He had a fast car
and was moving thru the field when he brushed the turn 3-4 wall while
avoiding a spinning car. He came in the pits and we pulled the body
panels away from the tries and the car was still fast and he was able to
get a solid top 5 after restarting at the rear of the field.

Andy Belmont makes his ARCA debut with the former Cup racer turning in a
great run and netting a top-5 finish, as noted above coming back from an
incident to do so. Belmont went on to become a staple of this series in
the late 1990s and early 2000s.

95 owner - Andy Belmont (same at second Pocono)

Belmont was entered in the Cup race this weekend, but his car didn't
pass inspection in time to make a qualifying lap. Rather than just go
home, Belmont entered the car in the ARCA race and actually did very
well for himself.
