In 1994 the team went to Fords full-time so this would be Steele's last race with the Olds. He made it count as he found that 'Special Feel' in his Oldsmobile to send it out with a victory. Finishing 22nd this was the last real ARCA race for series legend Lee Raymond. The two-time ARCA champ was entered in the next race at Atlanta but did not start. It was also the only ARCA start for Indiana local Brandon Fagin. 2. This was Steele's only victory that wasn't at the wheel of a Ford. 6. rm posted: 12.25.2018 - 11:21 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Thompson was a DNS 08 owner - Bob Dotter 6 owner - Stan Gall 80 owner - Dave Jensen 02 sponsor - Indiana Steel 5 sponsor - Sadler Brothers 42 sponsor - Andy Mohr Automotive 95 sponsor - NB Windows & Doors 43 crew chief - Ray Benson A very clean race by 90s Winchester standards, 5 of the 6 cautions were for solo spins or cars smoking on the track. The lone multi-car incident occurred when Bob Keselowski spun and collected several other cars, but only Bob Dotter picked up any noticeable damage and all continued on. Bobby Bowsher ran right behind Tim Steele for the first half of the race until he had to pit for 2 tires under green. He lost 2 laps but quickly made 1 up on fresher tires. After several more cautions, he was able to get the jump on the outside line on a restart and managed to sneak back onto the end of the lead lap. A longer green flag run ensued and Bowsher charged all the way back through the field but came up just short of a highly improbable comeback win, with late lapped traffic possibly being to blame. 7.
