Fittingly Allen was driving the #2 Hooters Thunderbird, this race was the day before the famous 1992 Hooters 500 where Alan Kulwicki drove to a championship in the #7 Hooters Underbird. 2. The car Niemiroski drove in this race was the same one Cale Yarborough drove when he lost the 1984 Firecracker 400 to Richard Petty. 7. He made just under a dozen ARCA appearances but was very success in Busch competition, his tenure as a regular in that series began in 1993. 13. ol hank posted: 08.26.2017 - 2:24 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #89 Owner James Nelson #69 Owner Dick Bahre #89 Sponsor Superior Performance/Collectors Worls Magazine #69 Sponsor Dick Bahre Racing #51 Sponsor Mound Steel #83 Sponsor The Virginia Lodge #75 Sponsor Pronto Auto Parts #36 Sponsor Almeda Auto Parts #10 Sponsor Mike Brown Heating & AC 14. Bowsher came into this race with the lead and would clinch the title unless Keselowski could finish more than 12 spots in front of him. Keselowski turned in a strong third place run but a 10th-place finish, two laps down, was still enough for Bowsher to win the first of his two ARCA titles. Rhett Vandiver, the son of NASCAR racer Jim Vandiver, makes his lone ARCA start but goes out before halfway with a mechanical issue. 16.
