The multi-talented racer would not have a good finish after Junie Donlavey's #90 Ford broke an axle and sent him to the sidelines. Gordon, best known at the time for off road racing, was running his first-ever oval track race. His car was even mislabeled "Rob Gordon." Charlie Glotzbach was fast right from the start. He got the jump on Gordon and led the opening laps. 6. It would be his best ARCA finish. This was the first of just two ARCA starts for Schroeder, he also did the following race at Daytona in 1991 where he again placed in the top-10. 7. Charlie Glotzbach ran out of fuel crossing the finish line with Dorsey Schroeder about 10 car lengths behind him. Scott Stovall ran out of gas with about two laps to go, he was on the lead lap in 3rd before that. 10. 27 Years Behind posted: 03.10.2018 - 9:41 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) For whatever reason, Bill Venturini was running the number 35 in this race instead of his usual 25. You can see it right at the end of the 10 minute Youtube video. 11. 27 Years Behind posted: 03.10.2018 - 9:52 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Pole Speed for Robby Gordon 175.396 miles per hour = 31.239 seconds 12. In 1990 Brevak again came to Atlanta leading this points, with Keselowski second, but this time he practically already avenged that defeat. Brevak's point lead was so large at the time of this race that all he had to do was crank the engine and start the race to seal his lone ARCA championship. Brevak had 16 top-10s in the first 17 ARCA races this season but ironically crashed out early here. Keselowski qualified toward the front and was a contender for the win only to break an axle just after pitting from the lead, leading to his retirement. There were 68 cars that attempted to qualify for this race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
