Adcox would win a total of nine race over the next four ARCA seasons with eight wins on superspeedways. 7. He would go on to race in USAC Midgets and Sprint Cars but ultimately found more success after switching from being a driver to an USAC Silver Crown owner. 13. I think Ralph Jones led at least 12 laps, still trying to confirm that. 14. Jeffrey got turned into the wall and almost turned turtle before his car came back down on all fours. Both were done for the day and this ended up being Evans' final ARCA start. 16. zuel660 posted: 08.12.2020 - 3:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) There must've been a wide variety of bodystyles in this race...I'm thinking the GM teams might've been a mix of the new 'aero' '86 cars & the older notchback windowed cars. 17. This was the only time Maybry ever recorded a top-20 finish in ARCA action and he would make just two further ARCA starts after this before dropping off the higher level stock car racing map. That said, more than 35 years later his used car dealer is still going strong. 18. possum posted: 08.12.2020 - 7:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @16 - as I recall, in that era ARCA cars were allowed to be up to 5 years old (meaning the body, the chassis could be older). So yes, there probably was a wide mix of body styles. Incidently, I'm pretty sure Randy Baker's owner should be Buck Baker. 19. rm posted: 09.18.2020 - 12:28 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Lap leaders: Jones 1, Venturini 2-15, Adcox 16-20, Sosebee 21-26, Raymond 27-30, Adcox 31-47, Jones 48-57, Adcox 58-50 I count 7 lead changes from that. Laps led: Adcox 48, Jones 11, Raymond 4, Sosebee 6, Venturini 14 Additional DNQ: Trevor Boys Boys hung around and got the call from Leroy Maybry to relief-drive, working all the way up to 5th at the end. Boys would make a total of 5 ARCA starts with a best run of 2nd at Atlanta in 1989, the only top five finish of his that would count. Dean Roper's final go at a superspeedway ends very early, he almost completely stuck to dirt in ARCA afterwards save for a lone start at Mt. Clemens. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
